-The Chinese Embassy/Consulate determines who is granted a Chinese visa. All forms are free to download online, must be typed, and no automated service. No mail service is available, must file in person or have someone do it for you. Processing time will take 1-4 business days, but you have to travel to the Embassy/Consulate, wait in line, then pick up at a later date. Which will cost you more in travel cost. Fees start at $140.00 for US Citizens, and $30.00 for non-US Citizens. You may try to call them, they do not always answer your inquiries.
